چکیده

The BiCIKL project is born from a vision that biodiversity data are most useful if they presented as network of can be integrated and viewed different starting points. BiCIKL’s goal to realise by linking infrastructures, particularly for literature, molecular sequences, specimens, nomenclature analytics. To make those links we need better understand the existing their limitations, nature hold, services provide how interoperate. In light aims, in autumn 2021, 74 people community engaged total twelve hackathon topics with aim assess current state interoperability between infrastructures holding data. These examined several angles. Some were research subjects required get results, some modalities access use implementation standards, while others tested technologies workflows improve linkage types. issues regard uncovered participants inspired formulation following recommendations related (1) brokers, (2) building communities trust, (3) cloud computing collaborative tool, (4) standards (5) multiple access: If direct cannot supported explore using brokers store Cooperate open simple way allow two-way without having co-organize many organisations Facilitate encourage external reporting infrastructure its interoperability. requests new features Provide development roadmaps openly mechanism anyone ask help Discuss an forum cloud-based environments contribute test changes Consider opportunities brings means enable shared management infrastructure. Towards an Integrated Model of Interoperability for Spatial Data Infrastructures

Although there is a vast literature available on interoperability models, and their respective interoperability levels, limited research has been carried out on the development of interoperability models for the implementation of Spatial Data Infrastructures. This article demonstrates the important role of metadata elements in the formalisation of interoperability models for the implementation ...

Recommendations on e-infrastructures for next-generation sequencing

With ever-increasing amounts of data being produced by next-generation sequencing (NGS) experiments, the requirements placed on supporting e-infrastructures have grown. In this work, we provide recommendations based on the collective experiences from participants in the EU COST Action SeqAhead for the tasks of data preprocessing, upstream processing, data delivery, and downstream analysis, as w...

Managing Interoperability in Non-Hierarchical Public Key Infrastructures

This paper discusses considerations for certificate issuing systems and certificate processing applications, and directory systems in environments that employ nonhierarchical public key infrastructures (PKIs). The observations and recommendations here, while applicable to almost any non-hierarchical PKI, are most relevant to situations where the establishment of interoperability among the PKIs ...

Towards Data Interoperability of Cloud Infrastructures Using Cloud Storage Services

Cloud Computing is becoming more and more popular, and various cloud services have appeared to make our lives easier. Mobile devices can also benefit from Cloud services: the huge data users produce with these devices are continuously posted to online services, which may require the modification of these data. Using cloud storage services together with computation-intensive infrastructure servi...

Dynamic functional modelling of vulnerability and interoperability of Critical Infrastructures

The paper describes a new integrated formalism for the dynamic functional modelling of vulnerability and interoperability of Critical Infrastructures at regional level. The model assesses the propagation of impacts in terms of disservice due to a wide set of threats. The disservice can be propagated within the same infrastructure or to other CIs by means of the interdependence model, which is a...
